camino update 3
Started walking today…it was awesome! I walked to first half of my treck today alone in peaceful prayer with the rising sun and the singing birds. The mountains of Spain are breath-taking you guys! Then my English/Spanish/Italian friend and I walked the second half. We actually beat the whole pack today (which I learned today is good because there are limited number of beds in the hostels in each town). Met a dude from Boston today with that cool boston accent. Its nice to be able to speak to a fellow american (americano as they all call us).
Got some pictures coming for yall. This computer has a cool SD slot, so I´ll upload them so you can see some of what the trail is like, as well as the Church I mentioned in Roncesvalles where we received our pilgrims blessing.
Prayers puuuulease!! Me and a few others are making a huge treck tomorrow through the mountains. Were trying to shove a 4 day hike into three so we can get to Santiago sooner than the rest of the pack. Only problem is that the next town we´re travelling to, beyond the normal stop for the big pack, only has 4 beds!!! And theres about 6 or 7 of us making the treck!! So, we have some competition on our hands. I promise to show our foreign friends how fierce us “Americanos” are!
